what is inevitable

I think it is interesting that the demise of traditional book publishing is caught in the hands of the very same industry. Being unfair to their authors, especially larger companies, ultimately caused people to leave and do their own thing.

Books themselves will not stop existing or being produced; however, the publishers and those who put the books out there sort of shot themselves in the foot.

Companies are rebranding, finding new genres, attracting new types of authors: all just to stay relevant and above the red.

I suppose it could have all been avoided if everyone was fair in business? Maybe not even then, maybe it was inevitable.
